Runaway...

It's always interesting to see how long I have taken to write another post on here. Needless to say lots has happened in the time since I wrote last. For one, I am currently working on a new EP at Chapel Hill Studios up in the woods of Northern Jersey. So far, has been a great experience with some guys who really believe in me... And I think whether we admit it or not, as artist, it really helps to work alongside others that compliment your talents and don't hold back an opportunity to share their gratitude. And it goes both ways...

I'm stoked about the three songs we've tracked so far. Its only been a few weeks since our initial meeting so things are rolling. Just last night after a full day in the studio, I was invited to play a show at my favorite local venue, The Saint, here in Asbury Park as an opening act for Linda Draper. Thanks for a great set, Linda! I'm glad my songs inspired you because the feeling is mutual! I also got to play with some talented and equally interesting ladies from the local scene. Was even able to get a show in the works... So stay tuned.

As for life, well, I always like to bare it all. I am working a bunch and trying to save up some money. I am heading back out to the farm in mid-September.. Currently debating just flying into San Fran or sticking to my initial plan of playing a few shows on a cross country road trip. I know which of the two sounds much more interesting... but many more obstacles to make that happen. For one, I've got to make sure the Camry is still kickin!

Otherwise, I feel myself growing into many areas other than simply music. My interest in the field of health, spirituality, education, and entrepreneurship has grown immensely over the last year. I want to be a multi-faceted individual with different areas of interest and income. I am starting to fully understand and appreciate the level of opportunity that living on the east coast brings. I do feel I belong in or nearby a major city at this point in time. I love tapping into the energy and riding the wave of productivity... And I appreciate the times that I've taken to myself that have further clarified this for me. Even with hard work, and even in places that others deem harsh or darwinistic, I know how to come home and get back to being me. And that's something I know I've worked hard for and appreciate. Hard work definitely promotes amazing self loving time. You deserve it.

In the next few months, I'm hoping to solidify this next album, start mapping out a plan of travel in the early months of 2017, make a business plan and execute a small business idea that involves one of a kind goods and designs, and hopefully launch a site that includes a more multi-faceted representation of my heart's desire. Examples might be recipes, herbal remedies and how to guides, music and jewelry and travel goods for sale, travel photos, and articles about anything and everything that is present in my heart and in my life's experience.

Always trying to stay outside of my comfort zone and continue growing on this journey. Thanks to anyone taking the time to read this and to tune in. All good things..

x Jamie
