After two years living in Ocean Grove and enjoying all the amazing characteristics of these lovely little towns by the sea, I am going to move forward with an opportunity to work in Northern California through the fall. Possibly do a little traveling afterwards, just ready to ride one wave to the next.
I've learned so much living and working here. I've made so many lifelong friends, and connected with all those I've had the opportunity to work with along the way. Releasing "Atlantic" was such an incredible moment for me and i'm glad I can leave on a high note. Of course, I could have promoted it more, played more shows, and hit the ground running into my next project.. but thats not the way I see it.

Let's face it, I post a LOT of food pics. Music is my first love... but food is a close second.
What's not to love? I love shopping my local markets, staring at my colorfully stocked fridge, eating in good company... and I especially love making and discovering new and tasty food recipes. Here are four of my favorites. I like to think of these as seasonal dishes... A couple for warmth and comfort, some fresh and simple, one with nuts, but none with gluten or dairy (who needs em). Give them a try and put your own spin on them! Wow. So much is happening right now but at the same time, everything is at peace. I feel really full these days, as if all the things I aspired toward are manifesting themselves in my life in this moment.
For one, I am a music educator at a public school in the town that I love. Just today, I had the children sing an Imagine Dragons song and was able to discuss the themes that come up in the lyrics of the song. I pointed them to an old Cherokee story about the light wolf and the dark wolf within all of us. In the midst of a bustling classroom full of personality, it is impossible to say that an impact was made on every student... but the way that some or even most of my students engaged in the story and showed their interest through eye contact and silence is enough of a reward to last a lifetime. Education is a pure joy, and I am lucky to be able to share with my students things like perspective, experience, and how we view this world and each of its circumstances. Today was an excellent day, and its not even through! So, my band had the opportunity to play this past week at The Wonder Bar as part of "Happy Mondays" presented by Christine Feola's Dark City Entertainment. A great night of music that included the debut of my friends' new band "The Cold Seas" and "The Underwater Sounds" who made an appearance all the way from Philly. Major girl crush on Sonnie Shine! As always, Speak Into My Good Eye's Phil Shepherd was on the scene to capture some awesome photos.
